What is BlendTokyo?
BlendTokyo is an innovative networking event series designed to foster connections between Japanese professionals and foreigners living in Japan. Born from a collaboration initiated by Gary Ikebe (池部 慎二), the series brings together key figures in the Tokyo networking scene: Jun Matsumoto (松本 淳), one of Japan's most connected individuals on LinkedIn; Jason Ball, founder of the Business In Japan (BIJ) Community - which now boasts over 98,000 members and is on track to surpass 100,000 by the end of the year; Japan Travel Influencer Shingo Nakamura (中村 慎吾) and Oğuzhan Kara
The concept is simple: to "blend" our networks in a casual, welcoming environment. We aim to help Japanese professionals expand their horizons and connect with individuals possessing global perspectives and experience, and foreign folks mostly living in Japan, mix with new people.
