SPEAKERS:
Ted Katagi, a long term BIJ Member, has worked in senior leadership roles in such companies as Fidelity Investments, Vodafone Japan and Vodafone Group, as well as having been an EVP at Japan Telecom. He specializes in corporate strategy, marketing, corporate turnaround management and restructuring. A bachelors from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Harvard, Ted is currently the CEO of Kenja.com.
Raja Karim is a digital transformation expert with more than 25 years of well-rounded experience in global Technology and the Insurance sector. An analytical and a conceptual thinker who effectively partners with senior managers to assess opportunities, facilitate strategic decisions, and drive successful implementations, Raja has spent the past 17 years in Japan helping major international insurance companies achieve their strategic IT goals.
Raja began his career as an application developer and over the years he has held various senior roles during his many Japan based and international assignments. He is particularly skilled in Legacy Modernization and Transformation and has successfully delivered many such projects. Since 2015 he has been an IT consultant with various partners, and is now the founder and Managing Director of SAVVY Technology Solutions K.K.
Raja is co-authoring a book on Digital Transformation in Japan with Kyoto University, where his contribution is to highlight the Challenges of Digital Transformation in the Japanese Financial Sector.
